Reading matter for the fifties man was a bit limited in it's content. Magazines came in two types, the practical and the other. A weekly magazine call 'Tit Bits' (could you call it that today) was popular in every barber shop. Apart from that there were the shilling paper backs and girlie mags. Most of these books came from America and every organisation in Britain tried to have them banned for their depraved content.
