Saturday was the best day of the week. No school and Saturday Morning Pictures. Two hundred screaming children all gathered together in one place and not a teacher in sight. Apart from the films, there was other good stuff. There would be competitions, fancy dress or talent contests. Local artists would would try to entertain above the din.
